Southern Summer Night Committee:

This committee was formed between the Greater Port Arthur Chamber of Commerce and the Port Arthur International Seafarer’s Center in an effort to generate commerce to our local businesses and provide a safe means of transportation to workers that are employed on ships that enter the Port of Port Arthur.  The Port Arthur International Seafarer’s Center offers van services that pickup these workers and distribute them to local businesses to shop or take them back to the Center for a relaxing evening before re-boarding the ship.  This contributes to nearly three hundred thousand dollars annually spent at our local businesses.  For more information visit
